Our subscription is circular, which means the bike may have had previous owners. After each subscription, it is prepared for a new customer and is in as-good-as-new condition. This extends the bike’s lifespan and is better for the environment.

Service
After your first service, your bike will need service approximately every 1,000 km. It’s important that you keep an eye on when it’s nearing and book service with your chosen dealer well in advance.

Choosing GPS tracking for your cargo bike provides added security in your daily routine, as the system offers live tracking, allowing you to monitor the bike’s movements in real-time via an app. Additionally, the GPS can send notifications for unauthorized movements, enabling you to act quickly. General
You fill out the form on our website, and shortly after you will receive an email that starts the final sign-up flow (please note: the email may end up in your spam folder, so remember to check there).
Payment:
You will receive an email within 24 hours after signing the contract.
This email contains a link to the payment agreement, which you need to accept.
If you don’t receive any email – check your spam folder, and if not, please contact us.One-time payment:
This consists of the setup fee of 3,000 DKK and any optional baby seats. The amount will be charged via the payment agreement and withdrawn within 2 days. Please note: this must be paid before we can start the production of your cargo bike.Preparation of your cargo bike:
Our team will start preparing your cargo bike. This includes production and/or final setup and a thorough inspection. It takes approx. 10-15 business days from the time we receive your one-time payment until your bike is ready.Pick-up:
Once your bike is ready, you will receive an email with a link where you can book a pick-up time – at the handover, we will go through all the bike’s features together.Payment for your subscription:
Immediately after you have received your bike, we will send the first invoice for the remainder of the month’s subscription.
Afterwards, the subscription will be charged in advance and withdrawn on the 1st business day of each month.
You can always ask for the current price of the cargo bike you’re subscribed to. At that time, an evaluation of the used price will be made.
The cargo bike can travel 20 / 40 / 60 km on a full charge. This is influenced by wind, the load in the cargo box, the general temperature, and the route you take. A full charge takes 4-6 hours.
The delivery time is approximately 10–15 business days from the date we have received payment of the one-time fee, which consists of the setup fee of 3,000 DKK and any optionally selected baby seats. This fee will be charged via the payment agreement and will be deducted within 2 days. Please note that this payment must be made before we can start production of your cargo bike.
The bike is suitable for heights of approximately 150 cm to 205 cm.
Yes, you are allowed to cycle outside the city on paths and roads where cycling is permitted.
All cargo bikes are equipped with GPS so both you as the user and we as the owner can track the bike’s location. The GPS is hidden inside the bike.

The cargo bike is delivered in the available colors at the time. Therefore, you cannot choose the color yourself.
Payment & Subscription
The setup fee is 3,000 DKK, regardless of which model you choose. The setup fee is non-refundable.
It covers, among other things, the administration of your sign-up, credit check in RKI, and insurance registrations. All customers are registered with the bike’s frame number, any additional equipment, and GPS number.
Subscription prices start from:
POLLY from: 899 DKK/month
IBEX from: 799 DKK/month
PONY from: 699 DKK/month
Any extra equipment you choose will be added to your monthly subscription price. Your total monthly payment will be calculated when you fill out the form.
Please note: Baby seats are charged as a one-time payment together with the setup fee. You can see the individual accessory prices in the form when you order your subscription.
We primarily accept payment via credit card – VISA / MasterCard. If requested, we also offer payment via MobilePay.
The cargo bike may not be brand new but could be pre-used. In such cases, cykelabonnement.dk guarantees that all wear-and-tear parts will have at least 80% of their expected lifespan remaining.
The commitment period is 6 months. This means you can terminate your subscription after the 5th month with a 1-month notice.

The contract is binding, so you have the standard 14-day right of withdrawal after signing the agreement.
However, your right of withdrawal is forfeited if one or more of the following conditions are met:
The bike is custom-made to your specifications (this typically includes baby seats, extra seats, and chain guards).
The bike has been delivered and put into use.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please fill out the fomular here, with your full name, customer number, and the reason for cancellation.
When your subscription ends, the bike must be returned to the responsible dealer. Please make sure it is clean and emptied of personal belongings so it’s ready for the next user.
The dealer will inspect the bike upon return. Any damage or wear not covered by the deductible will be handled according to the terms of the contract.
Any outstanding amounts will be settled as soon as the bike has been inspected by us, so you can end your subscription safely and easily.
Insurance
The insurance covers the cargo bike if it is stolen, provided the cargo bike is properly locked and secured. When the cargo bike is not in use, it must be locked to a sturdy stationary object.
The cargo bike is our property. You must promptly inform the bike subscription service if the cargo bike is lost. You should report the theft to the police and send a copy of the police report to the bike subscription service.
In case of theft, damage, or loss, the user will be charged 2500 DKK.
You need to have a home contents insurance. A home contents insurance includes automatic liability insurance, covering damages for which you are responsible. Your existing home contents insurance for your apartment or house is sufficient. Read more about liability insurance here
Secure it safely when not in use. Preferably hidden and secured, possibly in a garage, bike room, or courtyard.”
Service
The service included covers the general maintenance of the cargo bike. It does not cover wear parts, as stated in the contract, meaning a puncture is not covered. It will be at your own cost.
The cargo bike must be serviced at the location where you received it. – In case of something like a puncture, you may be able to have it repaired at your local bike shop.
Note, if you replace the inner tube/tire with a lower-quality product, you will be charged for it when you end your subscription.
Black Iron Horse performs maintenance and service of the cargo bike, free of charge.
Service must be performed after the cargo bike has ridden 250 km, then after 2,000 km, and then for every 1,000 km the cargo bike has ridden. If the above-mentioned service intervals are not followed, there will be a fee upon return.
When you have a subscription for a cargo bike with us, you must ensure that the cargo bike is always in usable condition and not subject to further deterioration beyond what comes from normal wear and tear.
You are responsible for maintaining and renewing wear parts on the cargo bike, including but not limited to:
Tires
Inner tubes
Brake pads
Brake fluid
Chain
Gears
Brake disc
As an example, you must pay for any punctures you may have.
When we service subscription bikes, we make sure to repair any damages, both cosmetic and technical.
For example, if you go for scheduled service and we discover that your bell and rear mudguard are broken:
Both parts will be replaced at your cost. This will not be postponed, even if you cancel your subscription.
When you cancel your subscription and return the bike, the responsible dealer will inspect the bike.
If there are damages you have caused, you will be invoiced for this before leaving the store.
